Traditional face-to-face activity

Most of us know the "regular" way to play 2 Truths and a Lie. One person lists or says 3 things about themselves, two of which are true and one which is a lie. The audience or group must then decide which one is the lie.

Modified online version

I played this last year with my online middle school students in an Elluminate session and they LOVED it!
  1. I had them raise their hand if they wanted to be first, and I selected a student to begin.
  2. They typed, in the chat box, or spoke their 3 things about themselves.
  3. I then set the polling feature for 3 answers and the remaining classmates chose which one they thought was the lie.
  4. After everyone answered I displayed their polling results.
  5. The student who had given the answers, would let the class know which one was the lie. Everyone could see how many classmates they tricked!
  6. We then started the process over with the next student.
